Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the Signly browser extension and the signly.store website (together, the "Service"), provided by Signly ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Signly lets you draw or upload a signature, stamp or photo and place it on web pages, images and PDF documents in your browser. Your signatures and documents are processed locally on your device — see our Privacy Policy.
3. Free tier and Pro
- The Free plan includes limited saved items, daily signings and watermark-free downloads. We may adjust free-tier limits with notice on this site.
- Signly Pro is a paid subscription (billed monthly or yearly) that removes those limits and adds Pro features, unlocked by a license key.
4. Billing
Purchases are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep Pro access until the end of the period you've paid for. Prices are shown at checkout; applicable taxes are handled by Polar. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy — including the 30-day money-back guarantee.
5. License keys
- Your Pro license key is personal to you. Keep it confidential and don't share, resell or publish it.
- We (via Polar) may revoke keys that are abused, shared publicly, or obtained fraudulently, or when the related subscription ends or is refunded.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use Signly only lawfully. In particular, you must not:
- place a signature that is not yours, or that you are not authorised to use, on any document;
- use Signly to forge, falsify or misrepresent documents or identities;
- attempt to circumvent free-tier limits or license validation, or to reverse engineer the Service except where the law permits it;
- use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or third-party rights.
You are solely responsible for the documents you sign and for making sure your use of a placed signature is authorised and lawful.
7. Electronic signatures — important
Signly places an image of your signature on a document, like signing on paper and scanning. Signly is not a certified or "qualified" e-signature service and does not provide identity verification, audit trails or cryptographic signatures. Whether a document signed with Signly is legally effective depends on the document type and the laws that apply to you — if in doubt, get legal advice before relying on it.
8. Your content
Your signatures, stamps, photos and documents are yours. Because they are stored and processed on your device, we have no access to them and claim no rights over them.
9. Our intellectual property
The Signly extension, website, name, logo and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that signed documents will be accepted by any particular recipient or authority.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (through our merchant of record) in the 12 months before the claim arose — or, if you use only the Free plan, to USD 10. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects consumer rights you hold under mandatory local law.
12. Termination
You can stop using Signly at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or end access to Pro features if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (6–11, 13–14) survive termination.
13. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and highlight the change on this site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction — except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you mandatory rights or a different forum, which remain unaffected.
